Dynatrace, Vienna 6:30 PM 3 TALKS

The very first rebased.wtf - and honestly, we did not expect this. So many people showed up to a meetup that didn’t exist three weeks earlier. We learned how the Eiffel Tower elevator actually works (and how to make it faster), watched a social platform get built on a €250 budget, and saw someone’s passion project experiments grow into something genuinely delightful. We had good conversations, and the kind of energy that made us think: okay, we’re definitely doing this again.

THE TALKS

01

Small Experiments

SPEAKER Ermeen
Since the beginning of the year, I've been building small projects and trying out different ideas to see what sticks. I'll showcase a few tools I've created, but focus mostly on the one I'm having the most fun with.
02

WTF is IEC61131?!
How I optimized the Eiffel Tower elevator

SPEAKER Jean-Yves
Function Block Diagrams. Structured Text. Ladder Logic. Never heard of them? They're running the world; literally. Discover the history of the Eiffel Tower elevator, and learn how I programmed & optimized it.
03

Build It Anyway

SPEAKERS Janet Kuschert & Wolfgang Otter
What do you do when you have a business idea that requires a technical solution, but you lack the technical skills and money? When faund was founded, the quotes for developing our platform were around €40,000. How we did it with around €250, what detours were necessary, what fuckups happened along the way, and why saying goodbye to Lovable was easy in the end.
